Our Mission Statement

At The Tail Waggers Task Force, our mission is to foster a vibrant, safe, and welcoming environment for pets and their owners in Rockaway Beach, Queens. Established in June 2024 through the dedication of community volunteers, local officials, the NYC Department of Parks & Recreation, and Partnership for Parks, we work together as a 501(c)(3) non-profit to maintain and improve our local dog park. Through fundraising, educational outreach on responsible pet ownership and wellness, and advocating for pet adoption and rescue, we strive to enhance the lives of pets and people alike. Join us in building a stronger, more supportive community for all our furry friends and their families.

Adults and Children

  • 🐶 Supervise Your Dog: Always keep your dog in sight for their safety and the safety of others.

  • 💩 Clean Up After Your Dog: Be a responsible pet owner—always pick up after your pup to keep the park clean for everyone.

  • ⚠️ Aggressive Dogs: If your dog shows signs of aggression, please use one of the smaller fenced-in areas for everyone's safety.

  • 📞 Need Help? Contact the park stewards for assistance or if you notice any issues in the park.

  • 🤝 Community Involvement: We welcome volunteers to join these events—lend a hand and help keep our park beautiful!

  • 🌿 Environmental Care: These clean-ups focus on litter removal, trimming overgrown areas, and ensuring safe, green spaces for our pups to play.
